Author and expedition leader Felicity Aston, MBE, is a British polar explorer and research scientist . In 2012 she was he first woman to ski across Antarctica alone. In 2015 she was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Polar Medal for services in the Arctic and Antarctic.
